3 Types of Breathing

When dealing with high amounts of anxiety or even the lows of depression; there are generally 3 types of breathing. You may or may not realize this, however, what type of breathing you are currently engaging in may be one of the determining factors of improving how well your anxiety therapy or depression help in Calgary are doing.

Let’s take a look at 3 common types of breathing and you can then self determine which type of breathing you are currently practicing on a regular basis.

Shallow Breathing: This is the kind of breathing where your breathing is based on unhealthy emotions like fear and panic and you end up not being successful in what you’re wanting to achieve.

Regular Breathing: This is okay breathing that allows you to survive and lead a safe and normal life. It’s not that you won’t be successful, however, there could be a underlying thought of “is there more to life than just this?”

Intentional Breathing: This kind of breathing allows us to connect to our mental and emotional side of our brain allowing us to be completely calm, caring, and creative.

What kind of breathing are you doing right now? If it’s the first 2 types of breathing it might be time to consider counselling from a therapist in order to begin breathing in New Life.
