- Ongoing Sadness. Many unexplained tears and sadness for no apparent reason.
- Emotional Highs and Lows. Your mood tends to dramatically swing back and forth affecting daily life skills.
- Just feeling hopeless and wondering if life is worth living for and/or dreading that life may not turn around and get better.
- Fear of Doing Anything. Often this can be anxiety causing a mom to have panic attacks or excessively worry about life.

- Appetite Adjustment: Regular eating habits that you may or may not have had before pregnancy may increase or decrease. Decrease may lead to further loss of energy levels and Increase may lead to further depression around personal areas of shame regarding weight increase (if you are the partner reading this it is extremely important to make sure you are not shaming your partner if they are struggling with weight gain or loss).
- Sleeping Challenges. Having a hard time sleeping when the baby is sound asleep or the mother is finding they are sleeping too much causing developmental challenges with the baby.
- Lacking Energy. When feeling super tired or just having plain low energy to complete the tasks needed to be completed when caring for your little one.

- When a mother withdraws from support (Like family and friends) and social opportunities, this could be an indicator of Postpartum.
- Zero Interest. When a mom loses interest in doing things and activities they normally would love to do.
- Baby Caring Difficulties: Difficulty in caring for the baby’s daily tasks such as calming the baby when upset, diaper changing, and feeding the baby.
- Negative Harm Thinking. This can include negative thoughts of harming yourself or your child and must be dealt with immediately.
- Irrational Fears. This can be a mother having delusions or acting super paranoid.
