Social Media is all around us. You might even be checking out this blog through social media. However, alongside social media, the topic of social anxiety appears to be on the rise. A student, working on a master’s thesis project from the University of Alberta, asked if he could do a video interview with Jeremiah La Follette from New Life Counselling on the topic of Social Anxiety and How it Relates to Social Media.
After reviewing the video, there was no way we could pass up sharing the content pulled out from the questions asked.
Social Anxiety is a real struggle that prevents individuals from getting out of bed, making an important phone call, seeing people face to face or socializing with others in group settings. I have observed in Counselling Calgary; when social anxiety is mixed with huge amounts of Social Media today, it potentially hinders and can paralyze someone’s ability to lead a healthy emotional and mental stable life full of excitement and New Life.
Let’s take a look at Part 3 of Social Anxiety and How it Relates to Social Anxiety.
