New Life Counselling is pleased to announce that in counselling Calgary, clients of New Life Counselling no longer need to be charged GST if the Counselling Therapist has a master’s degree focused on counselling (Which all our staff have).
A special shout out and thanks to The Association Of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (A.C.T.A.) for their announcement. Still more to do and advocate for regulation and other qualified therapists who do not have a master’s, however, have demonstrated THERAPUTIC COMPETANCY (both experience, accountability and education combined…not just education) in therapy as a counselling therapist. However, at least it’s a start that supports some of the public.
