In Calgary, we can certainly have high amounts of rain. This made me think of the old rhyme “Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day.” For others, who deal with depression it’s more like Depression Depression Go Away, Come Again never ever ever again cause I’m sick and tired of feeling down all the time…

During these seasons of intense rainfall it’s important to keep in mind our emotional and mental health that may be affected by the weather. If you are someone who is affected negatively by seasonal issues such as long grey rainy days; It’s important to remember to take care of yourself, especially if the rainy season feels like it’s lasting forever. When grey rainy days hit, one super simple activity you can begin to do is to challenge yourself to find what I like to call “FINDING THE BEAUTY IN THE GREY.” Some of the best pictures taken in nature can be found on grey days due to the grey clouds actually diffuses the hidden sunlight behind the clouds and actually brightens the objects found in your surrounding area of view outside. Next time it’s raining like cat’s and dog’s begin to take a look at your outside surroundings and find the calming beauty around your environment…even if it’s at the office window looking at rain droplets.
