Lindsey McCallum is a graduate of Yorkville University Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and with New Life Counselling. She is in the process of working towards her provisional in psychology. She has been supporting and walking along-side a diverse clientele from all walks of life as a counsellor for the past 11 years and across multiple domains in the not-for-profit sector for 20 years. Lindsey has worked closely with children, youth, and their families involved with Children’s Services and believes in a family-centered approach to support safety, love, and connection. Lindsey has supported children and youth requiring school-based mental health and counselling within the school setting. Lindsey’s expertise lies in exploring the impact of mental health, toxic stress, and trauma across the lifespan.
Lindsey uses an integrated approach to therapy in managing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, life stressors, transitions, mood and emotions, and interpersonal relationship concerns. She is trauma-informed in her practice and is experienced in supporting the reparation and restoration of systemic, individual, and familial connection. She is well-versed in themes including, but not limited to; divorce, loss, school refusal, adoption, foster and kinship care.
Lindsey’s integrated approach uses modalities which include, but are not limited to; Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Jeremiah is a Counselling Therapist (CT) with ACTA, a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC), a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC), a Provisional Supervisor, and National President of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), and with NEW LIFE COUNSELLING. He is proficient in restoring individuals, marriages, couples, children and families find healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, relational repair and finding New Life.
Jeremiah has been counselling for over 15 years, which also includes over 30 years not for profit work/management experience, producing positive results with individuals, marriages, couples, and families restoring individual wholeness and healthy relationships who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, crisis, separation, thoughts of divorce and mental health challenges. Jeremiah has previous experience in supporting families involved with Children’s Services.
As an experienced speaker, educator, and supervisor Jeremiah has a passion for instruction and public speaking with an emphasis on both content and practical application.
